To continue with the momentum that GRAM has created, the government of Rajasthan looks forward to organizing GRAM at RAC Ground, Shivpuri (in Kota) from 24th to 26th May 2017.

GRAM 2017 in Kota aims at congregating all major stakeholders- farmers, technologists, academicians, plant scholars, agricultural institutes, plant scientist, agri-business companies, government dignitaries, students and policy makers on a single platform. The masterminds behind GRAM aim at accelerating development through allied activities, modern irrigation and sustainable agricultural practices.

As declared by Rajasthan agriculture minister Mr. Prabhulal Saini, GRAM in Kota will be attended by 30,000 farmers (roughly 10,000 per day). Government of Rajasthan has signed 38 MoUs worth Rs. 4,400 crores with private investors during GRAM in Jaipur, last November. About 30 to 35% of these plans have been successfully implemented on ground. In the upcoming event, government will discuss different ways of value addition of crop produce with farmers. They’ll also set up innovative technologies and processing units in Kota. The event will facilitate better opportunities of learning for farmers. Also, it’ll help showcase their talents and strengths to potential customers in agriculture. After Kota, the next subsequent events will take place in Udaipur (October 2017) and Jodhpur (January 2018).
