Gurugram and Jaipur super expressway to reduce trip time to 90 minutes, announces Vasundrara Raje & Nitin Gadkari

A new super expressway between Gurugram and Jaipur will be built, thereby enabling hassle-free and time-efficient transport system between the two destinations.

The announcement was made by Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping at a public event in Dausa where Hon’ble Chief Minister of Vasundhara Raje was also present.

Notably, Jaipur and Gurugram are separate by a long distance of upto 225 km. Under the collaborated vision of Vasundhara Raje and Nitin Gadkari, the dream of covering this long distance in as less as 90 minutes will soon become a reality.

The new road would start from Gurugram outskirts and terminate at the Jaipur Ring Road.

After Mumbai-Pune expressway, the Delhi-Jaipur stretch will be the second express highway in the country,” he told a a media agency.

The new expressway is expected to finish within the next 15 months according to the recent high-level meeting at Dausa and would entail an investment of about Rs 16,000 crores.

Presently, road trip duration from the two cities is around six hours with a maximum speed limit of 90 kmph for passenger vehicles.

To cover the distance in 90 minutes, a considerable increase in the speed will is a requisite, however.

The highway would need to have a speed limit of around 150 km/h to achieve the claimed time limit.

Interestingly, the new expressway will be highly equipped with CCTV’s for effective monitoring of indecorous activity to keep a check on road safety.

Clear indications aiding in lane changers and timely sign for breakers on road ahead are some such facilities which will facilitate effective traffic on roads.
