Rajasthan: 39 Mahila Sahla Suraksha Kendras to assist all state women in distress

The recent analysis of the Rajasthan state budget under the women and child department showed that there has been a 17% upscale in Women budget allocation 2017-18, when compared to previous budget 2016-17.

A whopping sum of Rs 1,896.98 crore has been allocated to department of women and child development in the 2017-18 budget is 17% higher.

On March 8, Chief minister Vasundhara Raje announced the Rajasthan Budget which was highly focused on bolstering women empowerment in state. Anganwadi workers would be given an incentive of Rs 250-Rs 500 per month, based on work performance.

The revolutionary scheme called Bhamashah scheme has been integrated with the women –centric scheme called Rajshree scheme. The Rajshree scheme garnered a sum of Rs 100crore amongst the various allocations in Rajasthan budget 2017-18.

The Rajshree scheme facilitates families to finance the education of their daughters. It is a scheme which has benefitted many women and daughters whose dream to study has been manifested.

Girls born after June 2016 will be eligible for the benefits of this scheme.

A slew of Mahila Sahla Suraksha Kendras have been opened in the state which will pacify all women facing hardships. 39 Mahila Sahla Suraksha Kendras have been opened for this purpose.

A whopping amount of Rs 1 crore will be utilized towards building 15 districts across the state. A sum of Rs 1 crore was announced in the 2017-18 budget.

These schemes buttress self-empowerment and self-employment of women across the state. The apst has been a testimony to the progress and results of this scheme.

Rajasthan state enjoys the ideology and sensibility of a female Chief Minister, Smt. Vasundhara Raje. The Chief Minister gives huge impetus to women empowerment and women employment. A lot has been in the last 3 years towards boosting women power, and a lot in underway.
