Time and again, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje has stressed on the equal growth and development of all 36 communities residing in Rajasthan. Sticking to her words, the 4th annual budget of Raje government delivered concrete economic perks for both deserving as well as deprived sections of the society, irrespective of caste, creed or community. Rajasthan Budget 2017 is a carefully crafted, far-sighted strategy that focuses on the development of economically weaker sections and grants relevant opportunities to deserving candidates so they can excel in academics, career or life, overall.
The budget is equally dispensed among students, working professionals, government officers and women. With government lending them a helping hand, the appropriate allocation of budget lent them a chance to move ahead in life.
Why is Rajasthan Budget 2017 Important in Social Terms?
Recently, the government’s growing concern over Jat and Gurjar reservations had caused minor issues among other communities. Consequently, the economically deprived families belonging to higher classes have expressed their requirements before the government time after time.
Accordingly, Budget 2017 tried to share this pie among all. Here’s how Raje did the impossible.
- Scholarships for Meritorious Students
The top 100 scorers in class X and XII examinations (organised by Rajasthan Board) will get Rs 15,000. Likewise, students who rank in top 100 positions at IISc, IIT, NLU, IIM and AIIMS entrance exams will receive Rs 25,000 by the government. With this money, they can pay their admission fee; arrange resources and books for further studies.
- Monetary Rewards for RAS/IAS Toppers
The toppers of RAS examination will get Rs 30000 as a reward for their intense efforts. Likewise, the top scorers of IAS exams will receive Rs 50,000. This reward comes as a perk for candidates who put in several years of hard labour to attain this position.
- Scooty for Girl Toppers
Unlike other states, Raje’s freebies are not limited to a particular category or caste. This time, the government went one step further and announced scooty for top 100 toppers of class X board examinations. These scooties will be offered to 100 students from science, commerce or arts background that score more than 90% in class XII examinations.
- Benefits for Specially-Abled Individuals
To involve specially-abled individuals in mainstream society and to help them move ahead in life, Rajasthan government has announced a monthly pension of Rs 750/month. This amount will be delivered to all individuals, irrespective of their caste, gender or age.
That’s not all. The government will provide the orthopedically challenged people with motorised tricycle and newly married specially-abled couple with financial assistance (Rs 50,000 payable one time) to start their new life.
Other than this, the state will get new hostels, colleges, entrepreneur hubs, smart villages and Wi-Fi cities. Hopefully, this will help the deserving candidates achieve new heights and contribute to the overall development of the state!
