BJP State President, Rajasthan Ashok Parnami is reportedly being considered to be sent to Rajya Sabha. The discussions are going on and reports suggest that Parnami may soon reap the benefits of his loyalty towards CM Raje and the party. According to the media reports, some BJP sources have revealed that it’s almost confirmed that Ashok Parnami will be sent to the Rajya Sabha.
For this purpose, CM Raje has already informed the concerned authorities about her opinion and the same has been communicated to all the cabinet ministers as well as the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs.
It’s important to note that presently the Rajasthan Rajya Sabha has 10 seats out of which 2 are going to be vacant by 3rd April. Both these seats are presently occupied by Congress members. One of them is a renowned leader and Supreme Court Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhwi and the other is political leader Narendra Budania. The tenure of both these leaders is going to be completed by 3rd April after which new members will be elected.

Out of these, one seat is likely to be contested by Ashok Parnami in the upcoming elections. As per the BJP sources, Parnami is one of the most loyal members of the party who shares a great bond with the CM. This is evident from the fact that since BJP came to power in the state, Parnami has been named as the State Party President twice.
Thus Chief Minister Raje is likely to secure BJP chief’s position for the next 6 years by sending him to Rajya Sabha. As of now, there are no confirmed reports if the concerned authorities and officers have given their approval for the same.
If reports are to be believed, the Legislative Assembly elections which are due for this year’s end will bring along quite a few changes and apparently this is one of the reasons that Raje wanted to send Parnami to the Rajya Sabha.
Meanwhile, the face of BJP in the state is likely to be changed for which two names are being proposed by the party. As far as the media reports are concerned, some probable names in the list include the likes of leader Satish Punia, Union Minister and Bikaner MP Arjun Meghwal, and Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore.
