    Independence Day celebration is not just a celebration of India’s freedom from British rule but also the day of re-determining the pledge of serving and protecting the nation. This day holds a great significance in the life of every India. To make this day more remarkable, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje announced to organize a human chain along the 650-km-long Pakistan border. Shahdat Ko Salaam

    This will be conducted under ‘Shahadat ko Salam’ program. Chief Minister made this announcement in Udaipur during her Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra on 10th August. This event will be held on the eve of Independence Day (14th August). The preparations of the event are on full swing. Know more. Shahdat Ko Salaam

    Talking about the preparations of this initiative, lacs of Indian flags have been purchased. These flags will be used during the event. These balloons will be tied to ropes while the people will hold the flags. During the event, the National anthem will also be played. Dances will also be prepared on the eve. Indian flags will be hoisted at many places. The participants will be provided with T-shirts and caps.

    The arrangements for snacks and buttermilk have also been made. A medical team will be there for medical assistance.
    This is very huge event so state government is preparing to make it successful. For this initiative, the collectors of the four districts have been directed by the government. To make this event successful, collectors and administrative officials have been holding meetings with villagers, city dwellers, schools and college students.

    The purpose of this event is honouring our soldiers and martyrs. With the help of Border Security Force and the Army, this event will be organized by Rajasthan government. Well.. this human chain will be formed along the districts of Rajasthan which are Bikaner, Barmer, Jaislamer and Sriganganagar. As per the government officials, around five lakh people will take part in this initiative. It will be observed between 11 am and 1 pm on August 14.
