Ahead of the Assembly elections, the women employees in government companies have got a great gift from the Raje government. Women working as employees and officers in different departments of government will now be able to avail a maximum of 730 leaves or a period of two years for taking care of their children aged below 18. The proposal has already been approved by the Cabinet and the process of amendment has reached its final stage. This amendment is a boon for the women employees who will now have the right to take care of their children till they are 18. The leave can be availed in portions but not at a stretch of 2 years. Exception for women with disabled children
As per the rule, the leaves will not be granted for more than 3 times in a year and the benefit can be availed for only 2 children. If the child is disabled, the leaves can be availed for children of up to 22 years of age. Also, if a female has already taken leave to take care of the child, it won’t have any effect on the 2-year leave benefit. Raje Government
Rights of women prisoners and their children
On Tuesday, a day-long workshop was organised under the chairmanship of Madan Gopal Vyas, President of Legal Services Authority. It was organised under the campaign to safeguard the rights of women prisoners and their children. Raje Government

During this workshop, Vyas said that a 10-day campaign will be kicked off from May 17 to make the women prisoners aware of their rights. Under this, a team will be formed consisting of education, medicine, psychology, and women and child development officers. These teams will visit the prisons and submit their reports on the status of the female prisoners.
Various posts to dependents of deceased employees
The Jaipur Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited issued an order whereby appointments on various posts were given to 23 dependents of the deceased employees. All have been given probationary trainees and have been instructed to join within 1 month of the date on which the orders have been issued. Raje Government
As per the release issued to the dependents, 7 have been given the post of Commercial Assistant-II, 8 have been allotted the post of Assistant-I, 4 have been appointed as Assistant-II post while the remaining 4 have been given the post of fourth grade employees.
