In fact, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and the members of the core committee reached Delhi on the invitation of party’s national president Amit Shah for discussion. After this meeting, no conclusion came out. Hence, there are speculations that announcement regarding new state president will be now made on June 15.
Prior to the meeting held in Delhi, it was said that National BJP President Amit Shah summoned Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and other leaders to Delhi to end the ongoing tiff. But after the meeting, it was said that it was convened to discuss the preparedness of upcoming Assembly elections. It is said that the decision on party chief would be taken soon.
Current scenario of BJP party president in Rajasthan
This all issue had raised as Ashok Parnami, former state party president, resigned from the post on April 16. Even few days before, the name of central minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat came out but it was not acceptable to CM of Rajasthan. Even, during the recent meeting in Delhi, the name of Bhupendra Yadav came out as a new contender.
The turbulence over Rajasthan’s new party BJP president has made everyone curious. The role of state party president is for success of party in upcoming Assembly elections which are due at the end of the year.
