After successfully manifesting the dream to creating Smart cities, the government is now leaving no stone unturned to make the dream of smart-villages also a reality.

Pink city has formidably flourished with all the facilities and requisite technology to make it a smart city, now the state government is giving due impetus to manifest smart villages. The proper roadmap is being chalked out encompassing play grounds, street lights and lifting garbage.

To enrich the city with proper lighting systems, the government is contemplating a comprehensive process to transform the face of Rajasthan in the era of heavy urbanization and globalisation.

The state government is focusing on using renewable energy resources. It is looking forward to tap the solar energy resources. Owing to these developments, solar panels are being installed at the panchayat headquarters.

The target area is 10,000 gram panchayats which are headquartered in the state. The rural development and panchayat raj department are heading the project and looking into the details.

Jaipur rural MP is making all dedicated efforts to ensure that everything goes as planned. The union minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore in his parliamentary constituency informed that all the villages in his constituency will have playgrounds in the next two years. He also said that in some areas, lighting facilities to ensure that children can unabashedly play at night.

The rural development and panchayat raj department is now preparing the action plan for the project. However, who will foot the bill for the project is yet to be decided.

Sources informed that the solar panels had to be acquired through a tender process. “Rajasthan has abundant sunlight throughout the year to generate solar energy and exploiting this solar power is the way forward for the state in rural electrification,” said an official.
