Rape is a heinous crime for which no punishment is enough. In fact, the no. of rape cases are increasing every day in India. These rapists haven’t left the innocent girls. They also made these little girls their victim. This is a very alarming situation that needs to be tackled. The state governments have also coming forward with solution to fight this veil. Madhya Pradesh Government has already presented the bill to execute the guilty who raped minor girls. The information about bringing death penalty for rapists of minor girls had been given by Rajasthan minister Gulab Chand Kataria. Working on this idea, the Rajasthan government will soon table a bill in the state assembly in the same manner. He said, “We are working on bringing a law similar to that has been made in Madhya Pradesh which awards death for the rape of children aged 12 or below. It will be tabled in the assembly when it is ready.”

On 4 December, 2017, ‘The Penal Law (Madhya Pradesh Amendment) Bill-2017’ had been unanimously passed by The Madhya Pradesh Assembly. It is mentioned in the bill to punish the guilty of raping girls aged 12 or below with death sentence.

According to the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) 2016 report, the rape cases against minor children are quite apparent in Rajasthan. This has to be stopped now. Unless any strict measures are taken, these criminals will not stop. It is simply appreciating that state governments have mulled over this crucial area and tabled the bill.
