If you are a Rajasthani, the International Yoga Day 2018 is a day to remember. Did you ask why? On the occasion of fourth International Yoga Day celebration, Rajasthan’s education city Kota turned created a new Guinness World Record for having the largest number of people perform yoga at one place at the same time. Kota creates Guinness World Record

On the International Yoga day, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Yog Guru Baba Ramdev helmed the Yoga session at RAC ground, Kota. The ground had over one lakh people in attendance, the largest crowd performing yoga together till date, thereby grabbing eyeballs of the Guinness World Record team. Kota creates Guinness World Record

The team had flown to Kota from London to witness the unprecedented visual of largest head counts doing yoga together. Proper arrangements were made to ensure that the public doesn’t have to face any difficulty.

The Guinness Team had reached at the event at 6:30 am and was performing its set of tasks till 7 am when the session was concluded. The team also presented Yog Guru Baba Ramdev and Balkrishna with a certificate in presence of CM Vasundhara Raje. CM Raje also shared the good news on Twitter.

The Rajasthan government aimed at making it a seamless, hassle-free, congestion-free event. People were allowed entry after being assigned a barcode. The barcode ensured that the counting activity was error-free. Not only this, the ground had eight entrance gates. As many as 1,50,000 people had officially entered the ground through barcode at 6:30 am to attend the event, although the organizers claimed that more people performed the yoga exercise.

Even Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi retweeted a beautiful post shared by a student who was a part of the glorious yoga session.

Owing to Kota’s increasing student population, the ground had scores of students flocking to the ground to perform yoga. Because it was a Guinness world record, it is bound to be big! The participating students are also entitled to an official certificate from Guinness book of World records. Students can download their certificates using a unique code assigned to them at the event.
