Rajasthan’s e-Sakhi program is path to digital literacy

The relentless efforts of Rajasthan government helped the state to bring changes in various areas. This government also worked very hard to improve the situation of women of the state. To empower the women of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje government has launched several schemes and introduced various programs for women. Rajasthan e-Sakhi

This made the women to experience social changes.  In fact, they have become self-dependent. In the series of programs and schemes, e-Sakhi project is a great initiative. It has made the women to be inspiration for others. Started by the Department of Information Technology and Communication (DoITC), the Government of Rajasthan, e-Sakhi is a digital literacy programme. Know more.

What is e-Sakhi? Rajasthan e-Sakhi

e-Sakhi refers to a friend who is digitally literate. Under this initiative, 1.5 lac young women will be given free digital training. These trained women will further provide training to at least 100 people from respective village/urban areas. Hence, it will make 1.5 crore people digitally literate. Rajasthan e-Sakhi

This program is started with the aim to make at least 1 person from each rural family digitally literate. The project was started on May 2018 and continued till December 2018. There is also specific process to be e-Sakhi. Those who will to enroll for the program can apply online using their official app or website. 

How is the e-Sakhi project benefitting people of Rajasthan?

Under this, e-Sakhi train people about the usage of important services and IT application of state government.  This also enables people to access digital services using his / her mobile or eMitra Kiosk.  Now, the people can get the benefits of Rajasthan government welfare schemes so that they can use them. As people are getting digitally literate so the gap between rural and urban people can be bridged in near future.
