Preserve the heritage of Shekhawati in Rajasthan: CM Vasundhara Raje

    The state of Rajasthan is known for its rich heritage and architectural beauty.  It is a state that celebrates royalty and pride of Rajputanas. Rajasthan state is blessed with grandeur and regal views. Hence, it is the duty of the government as well as the citizens of the state to preserve this heritage of Rajasthan.  Recently, at the ‘Mukhyamanti Jansamvad’ held at Mandava, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje asked people to take care of heritage of Rajasthan.

    She asked people to work towards promoting the tourism of the state. Many towns of Jhunjhunu district like Nawalgarh, Ramgarh, Fatehpur and Alsisar as well as the Shekhawati region should be developed so the people around the world can know about the places. CM Raje also asked to bring the information of these towns of Jhunjhunu online along with maps. The towns of Jhunjhunu district have beautiful forts, paintings and several antiques which talk about the rich pride of the state so it should be made popular. It is duty of the government to bring awareness amongst the people.

    Rajasthan’s heritage

    Rajasthan is known for its beauty and rich heritage culture. The palaces and forts not only ooze grandeur from outside but they also have majestic pieces of art within. Talking about Shekhawati region, it was established by the Shekhawati Rajputs who ruled over the region right until the day of independence. Villages in this region boast of fabulously painted havelis and architecture. Ramgarh has many cenotaphs while Mandava is known for its captivating havelis. Nawalgarh is another popular place of the region. This region of Rajasthan is famous for its art gallery and thus gathered a name ‘Scotland of India’ for it. This place is also popular for its art work and mirror work.
