With the end of 2017 and the arrival of 2018, everyone is hoping for good and positive changes to take place. Talking about Rajasthan, there are a lot of things that are being awaited for the New Year and hopefully, it’s going to be filled with more changes and developments in various fields. Right from Railways to medical and from education to infrastructure, there is a lineup of some much-awaited developments that are expected to take place in Rajasthan in 2018.

Here is the list of positive changes and development that Rajasthan will be availing in 2018:

Bio Toilets in Trains

This year onwards, the trains in Rajasthan are likely to be equipped with bio toilets as the government is aiming to complete the project by 2019. As of now, the officials have been instructed to complete the construction of bio toilets and 55% of the railway coaches have already been equipped with the same.

Harmony between Government and doctors

With the end of the doctors’ strike, all the cases filed under RSA will be withdrawn and the agreement signed on November 12 will be implemented. The strike days by the doctors will be counted as acquired holidays. After the meet between the doctors and government officials, it’s expected that the two will work in harmony and hopefully no patients will suffer in the future, unlike in the recent past.

Transport Vouchers

The girl students from Class 1 to 8 in the rural areas will be given transport vouchers. Under this, all those girls who don’t have access to primary schools within 1 km from their homes will be provided free education. Further, students from first to fifth grade will be given INR 10 per attendance day while INR 15 will be given for students from class sixth to eighth.

More recruitment of Sanskrit Teachers

In an aim to connect Sanskrit with employment, a roadmap is being prepared to revive Sanskrit. For this, 3200 vacancies are being filled by Sanskrit teachers in schools and colleges. Apart from recruitment, the financial resources are also being increased in universities and colleges.

Doubling of Railway Track

As per the reports, the Alwar-Bandiqui railway track will be doubled this year. The situation has been reviewed by authorities and the development works are being exercised on full swing. The junction will also be equipped with CCTV cameras to ensure proper security.

Housing Board’s Residential Plans

The Rajasthan Housing Board will introduce housing schemes at 11 locations throughout the state. These residential plans involve areas like Pratap Nagar, Mansarovar, Aravali Marg, Jagatpura, Vatika, Mahalan, Aravali Vihar, and Badlai in Jodhpur, and Shahjahanpur in Bhiwadi.

PM Modi’s visit to Rajasthan

This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to come to Rajasthan which is going to be a crucial visit for the state. The PM is expected to lay the foundation stone for Barmer Refinery in Jhunjhunu and later he is likely to inaugurate National Nutrition Mission. The preparations have already started and meetings have been held to review the status.

Fixed Service Charge

The Regional Transport Offices will no longer charge any extra amount of money in the name of service charges by applicants who deposit online fees of license and other services.

In case of payment through e-Mitra or any other online website, he will be required to pay a fix amount of INR 6 per service charge. These rates will be displayed publically in the transport offices to make the applicants feel free from the arbitrary collection.

More Schools will be opened

In order to make sure that children have access to schools in the nearby area so that they don’t have to travel much, the villages with population of more than 150 are proposed to be provided with more schools. Development in Rajasthan

Amendment by Municipal Corporation Development in Rajasthan

In order to save the destruction of 50 religious places, the General Assembly of the Municipal Corporation has decided to make a major amendment by keeping the market in the 5-5 metre range on either side of the percussion. The decision will save more than 1300 such constructions having proprietary rights or leases.

Changes in Jaipur-Agra Shatabdi Express Development in Rajasthan

Under the railway project Swarna, the Jaipur-Agra Shatabdi Express will be equipped with new features this year. The coaches will be fitted with automatic odour control system and will also have disposable head rest covers for the passengers. Development in Rajasthan
