Monsoon is badly needed throughout the state of Rajasthan as heat is on its peak. The scorching heat has made the lives of people miserable. In fact, the monsoon has got delayed this year. Talking about the MeT predictions, it was said that it would have entered the state by mid of June but till now there is only little amount of rain in Rajasthan. As per the MeT office, the conditions now become favourable with the arrival of monsoon in several parts of northwest India from June’s last week. In fact, monsoon was good in southern Rajasthan. On Sunday, Jhalawar district received a rainfall of 90 mm. After Jhalawar comes Kushalgarh (Banswara) with 70 mm of rainfall and then Ramganjmandi (Kota) with 50 mm rainfall. There was also rainfall in many places like Nagaur, Pali, Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer and Sikar between 10 mm to 50 mm.

However, in other parts of the state, the weather remained dry and humid as Churu recorded 44.5 degree Celsius i.e. the maximum temperature. In Jaipur, it was 41.6 degree Celsius along with humidity.
It was 44.4 degree Celsius temperature in Sriganganagar, 42.5 degree Celsius was recorded in both Jaisalmer and Pilani, 42.4 in Bikaner, 41.0 in Barmer while Jodhpur recorded 39.8 degree Celsius, Ajmer 39.6 degree Celsius and Kota with temperature of 38.4 degree Celsius.
Impact of rainfall
People, waiting for monsoon, got some relief after moderate showers on various parts of state in the last weekend. This led to drop in temperature in the region. In fact, the rains in southwest Rajasthan showcased the movement of monsoon which is good. Hence, it is believed that the state would witness monsoon within 3-4 days.
