It has been 4 years since Raje government came to power in Rajasthan and throughout this time period, there have been a constant introduction of policies and welfare schemes aimed at benefitting the people of the state, mainly those residing in the rural areas. Government Policies

From farmers to elderly population and from education to financial aid, the government has framed a myriad of welfare schemes. As per reports, a lot of money is being allocated to the implementation of these programs. For example, the state has spent 1800 Crores on providing free health benefits out of which INR 1300 Crores has been spent on Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojna. Government Policies

Enlisted below are some crucial policies introduced by the state government:

  1. Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojna 

The policy is aimed at providing quality healthcare to all National Food Security Scheme (NFSS) families and bringing an improvement in health indicators. It includes a health insurance cover worth INR 3 Lakhs for general illness and INR 3 Lakhs for critical illness.

Besides, it includes cashless benefits through public health institutions and other allowances. The benefits can be availed by NFSS beneficiaries and RSBY beneficiaries holding Bhamashah cards.

  1. Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojna Government Policies

This scheme is aimed at keeping a check on the increasing rate of female foeticide in the state. The state government assists the families in educating their girl child and ensuring a save future for them by giving them financial assistance.

The beneficiaries include all girl children registered under the program who were born either on or after 1st June 2016. Under the scheme, the government received financial aid for the girl child at various stages of her life starting from her birth and until she passes her Class 12th examinations.

  1. Fasali Rin Maafi Yojna

During the budget announcement in February 2018, the state government has introduced this scheme to waive off loan amount of up to 50,000 to farmers across the state. For this loan waiver scheme, Rajasthan government has taken a loan of INR 5,000 Crores from Apex Bank for which a written guarantee has also been submitted.

Beneficiaries can apply online through the official web portal of Rajasthan Agricultural Department or they may visit the district offices. The campaign started recently in Banswara whereby loan waiver certificates were handed over to thousands of farmers.

  1. Deendayal Upadhyay Varishtha Nagrik Tirthyatra Yojna

This scheme was introduced by CM Raje in February 2017 whereby elderly people are given the facility of free of cost pilgrimage. This year, the piligrimage will include tour to 5 places including Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, Jaggannath Puri in Odisha, Dwarkapuri in Gujarat and Vaishno Devi in Jammu.

Last year, the beneficiaries were required to carry their Bhamashah card as well as Aadhaar card but this time, they only need to carry their Bhamashah card. The interested people can apply till 10th June to avail the benefit.

The senior citizens can apply for the scheme either through the official website of the department or through e-Mitra facility. As per the travel plan, 6,000 passengers from across the state can travel by railway while four thousand can travel by air.
