The world is celebrating the Children’s Day with full gusto and zeal. Jaipur is known for its unmatched hospitality and love. For obvious reasons, the Pink city couldn’t resist showering extra love on the children. After all, children deserve all the love and blessings!

Jaipur has tied hands with Bookaroo to ensure children are bestowed with a well organized child-centric Literature Festival. The festival will be held at Jawahar Kala Kendra (commonly known as JKK). JKK will play host to an amalgam of storytelling, book reading, crafts, drama and much more in between.

JKK is a hub of cultural activity, aesthetic presentation, contemporary visuals and dramatic theatre. Bookaroo Literature festival is a reflection of literature and culture progression. Hence, no location except JKK could do justice to the festival.

Bookaroo Literature Festival 2017 will be no ordinary event. This year will see a host of versatile speakers from different parts of the globe. Speakers from Portugal, Australia, Poland and the UK will be gracing the event and enlightening children with their knowledge and experience.

Not only this, Bookaroo Literature Festival will witness an unprecedented assortment of Indian stories which will give a slice-of-life experience to all the attendees.

The 2-day event will be held on November 18th and 19th.The sessions will be conducted in Hindi and English at the Jawahar Kala Kendra. The timings for the festival are 11:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Lavanya Karthik – Writes and draws books for children

Miles Merrill – He focuses too much on his hair

Suvidha Mistry  – Is an exceptional illustrator

Siddhant Shah – He works to align cultural heritage and disability, through educational and multi-sensory experiential activities, for children with special needs.

Debi Gliori – She loves children so she has 5 children, and has made 75 books in her spare time.
