Aadhar card has become an important identification proof for all kinds of transactions. It is also made mandatory by the government of India to link their mobile numbers, bank accounts, PAN, insurance policies, mutual fund investments and other schemes with Aadhar card. In order to encourage all people to link their details with Aadhar card, government is making efforts. It is also mandatory to link bank accounts and mobile sim with Aadhar. The people who do not get their bank accounts and phone sims linked with Aadhar card then their bank accounts will be closed and sim will be deactivated.
Considering the current deadline for linking Aadhaar card with bank accounts, PAN, insurance policies and other schemes is December 31, 2017. The present deadline for linking mobile sim with Aadhaar card is February 6, 2018. But the government is again planning to extend the deadline to link Aadhaar card with bank accounts, mobile sim and other schemes to 31 March, 2018. Although this extension is expected, there is no clarity whether it will be extended or not.

How to get Mobile sim linked with Aadhar Card
First visit your nearest Aadhaar centre to get the Aadhar form. Now, fill the form and submit it to the concerned person at the centre. You are also need to give a photocopy of your Aadhaar card and a copy of documents like as PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID card. After submitting the form, biometrics will be verified at the enrolment centre and thumb impression will be verified. After verifying the biometrics, you will be given an acknowledgement slip. The procedure will take time of 2-5 working days.
