Art can be called the mirror of a society. The art and culture of a place speaks volume about that area. It is important for people to preserve and enhance the art and traditions of their area. In fact, the government should be concerned about this aspect. Considering this important aspect, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje has renovated Jawahar Kala Kendra.

She has been making efforts to make Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) an excellent cultural institute. This is an effort to introduce new generations of Rajasthan to the world of art. The work to renovate JKK has been started from long. There are several changes made in JKK centre.

What changes can be seen now in JKK?

The renovation in JKK will be done in phases. In the first phase, the entire campus has been equipped with WiFi. It is wonderful to see that the coffee house, libraries and auditoriums have got a new look. These places have been decorated in unique ways. In the second phase, all the Museum galleries in the center will get a new look.

CM Raje on art of Rajasthan

CM Raje said that more summits and exhibitions should be organized in the state.  These offer a huge platform to the craftsmen and make them to aware about the latest way of doing their work. She also asked the established artists to share their ideas with the budding artists.

It is believed that renovation in JKK will gather more visitors and help them to learn about the art. New facilities have been given and many new high quality programs are being started.
