Jaisalmer: The famous Munabao railway station has been made fully air conditioned, thereby becoming a breather for all passengers who have planned to travel to Pakistan during summers.
The water cooler has been installed at a station premises in the heart of the airport, so that it is easily accessible and reachable for the common masses.
Jodhpur division PRO Gopal Sharma also confirmed this news that Jodhpur railway division has undergone major revamp. He said that the Jodhpur railway authorities have made special arrangements for passengers travelling in Than Express during summer.
He said passengers have to wait for many hours for immigration, customs and other processes and it becomes unbearable for them to complete all procedures braving the heat. Therefore, the station has been made air conditioned with an expenditure of Rs 70.44 lakh.
Sharma also confirmed that as many as 60 unit plants have been installed for centralized cooling at Munabao Railway station. Along with this, ducting and wiring works are also underway and will be ready soon.
The cooling machine will have a capacity of 6000 CFM cubic feet. All pending work will be completed in 4-5 days, as officials reported. It was also reported that air cooling will become functional from April 1.
The exclusive facility will commence from April 1. Not only this, the station has also been equipped with a giant water cooler to ensure that everybody has ample amount of water to quench their thirst at anytime in the day or night.
To quench the thirst of all passengers, the station authorities have Sharma said similarly a master cooler with 1,200litre per hour capacity and softener has been set up to provide cold water to passengers.
Rajasthan government is in a bid to revamp all it’s assets. It is striving to optimally utilize it’s resources to create standardized and landmark facilities to serve everyone the best they deserve.
This step will help mitigate the scorching heat, as is forecasted in 2017 Summers.
