Jaipur Smart Mission Will Give A Dapper Look To Old Pink City

Jaipur Smart Mission Ltd is going to chase huge progress as it will install water and air monitoring systems in the city. Under smart city project, many points of Jaipur will be equipped with these unique spots.

Three locations of the city are already equipped with real time air pollution monitoring system. Apart from this, water quality monitoring systems will be set up at 56 locations in the city by the month of June, 2017.

The air pollution system keeps track of pollution levels in air and monitors it. It keeps in system various components of air pollution including oxides of nitrogen and sulphur. Apart from this, it also makes available wind velocity and temperature in the air.

UDH official mentioned that, “These systems will be connected to our centre for real-time monitoring. It will provide us with different zone identifications of air quality in a particular area”.

Sandesh Nayak, chief executive officer mentioned that, the tenders would soon be installed by March 15 and the work will come to an end by June 2017.

The UDH minister and city mayor was provided information for area based development. The city areas like Albert Hall and Jorawar Singh Gate was taken into consideration for the revamp. Old city infrastructure will be developed with a touch of modernity in it.

It was further informed that tenders for seven smart city projects, including smart mobility and passenger information system, smart Krishna trails with ‘swadesh darshan’, restoration of heritage buildings as smart buildings, rejuvenation of traditional ‘bawdis’, development of automated solid waste collection system, 24X7 water supply with smart metering, will be floated in three months.

Giving it wings of smart city works, JSML has signed tenders for many big projects which are worth Rs. 270 crore. TO this, Nayak mentioned, “To carry out civil construction work on the smart road, JSML has invited tenders worth Rs 167 crore, while for developing the smart multi-level car parking at Anaj Mandi, tenders for Rs 30 crore have been invited”.
