The Ajmer Railway station has got an approval for getting equipped with a slew of facilities and infrastructure.

“We wanted that every employee of railways and even passengers will learn a lesson on why saving energy is important and therefore railways spreading message of save energy,” said Puneet Chawla, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Ajmer.

A stellar introduction which has come into play at the Railway Station is the Foot Over Bridge (FOB). This feature will help it downsize crowd and extra traffic on the platforms. This is possible as now passengers landing at different platforms will now be directly mapped outside the railway station. This is how the new construction will help plummet the unneeded traffic at the main gate.

Another feature which has been integrated into the structure of the railway station is a lift. It is categorically erected for differently abled, handicapped civilians and major officilans who might visit the railway station.

The Ajmer district is not only becoming equipped with top facilities but also has become a hub for installation of solar plants at railway stations. To ensure that all staff is well-versed with the usage of facilities, they will be educated to become eco-friendly.

On Thursday, major solar power plant of 20 KWP was inaugrated at Rani, Marwar and Falna railway stations.

These facilities have been approved by General Manager (GM) of NWR Anil Singhal. Anil was also highly satisfied with the successful completion of past projects.

Not only this, Singhal also inspected bridges. He also looked into the arrangements at different railway stations. He directed staff of different departments and urged them to work towards efficiency. He also urged for passengers’ safety.

As a good leader would have it, Singhal too made an effort to receive feedback from local representatives, Singhal met with local representatives and received feedback and suggestions for improvement in railway stations.

The Railway Station has also undergone intense beautification lately. It has been enamoured with beautiful ‘Bani-thani’ paintings.
