Jaipur Among Top 6 Smart Cities : Jaipur’s heritage quotient is stealing the show across the world. The Pink city has made it to the list of top six smart cities in the world. Entries were invited from people across the world and the maximum entries were received for Jaipur.
Jaipur: Only Indian city to be nominated
Over 600 entries were received from over 123 countries which were called for casting their vote. Jaipur has become the only Indian city to have been nominated across the world event which happens in Spain yearly sees a congregation of city administrators from all across the world. In 2017, there were 200 administrators to have participated in the event.

The city of Jaipur is beautiful and is one of the few cities to have been constructed as per highest standards of architecture. The city has now been equipped with Wi-Fi facility. There are over 2.5 lakh wifi-users per month. So it is evident that the hotspot facility is being utilised across the 32 hotspot facilities set up in the city.

As far as cleanliness is concerned, the city has got sensor dustbins. The sensors help in alerting the civic officials when the dustbin starts overflowing. This renders a systematic and hassle-free cleanliness system which is automated and technology augmented. Jaipur JDA has installed a total of 15 such garbage points across the city for experiments.
