    ‘Demise of Former Prime Minister Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee is an irredeemable loss to the country. It’s a sorrowful moment which cannot be explained trough words. He was a fatherly figure and a guide to me. It was my luck to get the work company of Atal ji.’- Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje tweeted after fateful demise of Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.     Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away on Thursday at AIIMS in New Delhi, where he had been undergoing treatment for kidney ailment since last June. He was being reported unwell as he had suffered a stroke on Wednesday.  Atal ji was admitted to the AIIMS in last June with a kidney track infection, chest congestion and urine output in a lower side.     Atal ji was one of the founders of Bharatiya Janta Party. He was the first non-Congress leader to serve a full term in power. He had announced his retirement from electoral politics in 2005 and withdrew further from public life in 2009 after suffering a stroke that weakened his cognitive abilities And later he developed Dementia. CM Raje Remembers Atal ji

    In a press release on 5:30 pm, AIIMS said, ‘It is with profound gief that we inform about the sad demise of former Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee at 05:05 pm on 16.08.2018.’ CM Raje Remembers Atal ji

    CM Raje remembered Atal ji in a thread of tweets-

     


     

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sorrow by tweeting- ‘Atal ji is no more among us. But an inspiration, a guidance of Atal ji will stay forever for every Indian and every member of Bharatiya Janata Party. May thes soul rest in peace. May God give us enough strength to bear the grief.’ PM Modi further tweeted- ‘India grieves the demise of our beloved Atal Ji. His passing away marks the end of an era. He lived for the nation and served it assiduously for decades. My thoughts are with his family, BJP Karyakartas and millions of admirers in this hour of sadness. Om Shanti.’

    Congress Chief Secretary Ashok Gehlot also tweeted-

    It is an end of ‘Atal Era’. Indian politics lost ‘Bhishmapitamah’. He was a politician who was even admired by opposition.  He was the father of Telecom revolution and played a vital role in making India a Nuclear powered country.
