Rajasthan state has seen tremendous growth since the BJP government came in power. The state government has helped Rajasthan to experience changes in various areas which were undeveloped. This government worked very hard for uplifting the women of state and made them self development. Government has launched several schemes and introduced various programs for women. In fact, the world outside has witnessed the rise of women in the state both socially and professionally. In terms of programs for women, e-Sakhi has been introduced. Know more.

Started by the Department of Information Technology and Communication (DoITC), Government of Rajasthan, e-Sakhi is a digital literacy programme. Considering the meaning of the word, ‘sakhi’ stands for friend while ‘e’ refers to ‘electronic’. This program is started to make every individual in the state digitally literate. The government has chosen women of the state for this work. Under this initiative, 1.5 lac young women will be given free digital training. These 1.5 lac e-Sakhis will further provide training to at least 100 people from respective village/urban areas. Hence, it will make 1.5 crore people digitally literate.

Who all can enroll for the program

To get enrolled as e-Sakhi, the instructions and qualification are mentioned. The age limit should be between 18 to 35 years and she should be at least 12th standard pass. Every applicant is required to have a valid Bhamashah ID, a smartphone and valid Email ID. Apart from all, she should have interest in social activities.

Know the syllabus to be e-Sakhi

It is not so tough to be e-Sakhi. But, the applicant has to be well versed with certain government schemes and programs like Bhamashah Yojana, Bhamashah Swasthya (Health) Bima (Insurance) Yojana, Samajik (Social) Suraksha (Security) Pension Yojana, e-Mitra Yojana, e-PDS (Public Distribution System) Yojana and Raj Sampark Portal.

How to apply?

Those who want to apply should download eSakhi application from Google Play Store or visit www.esakhi.rajasthan.gov.in portal and login through your SSO ID. Those who don’t have SSO ID can create it by visiting https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/register. Other way to apply is through Bhamashah ID or Aadhaar Card or Facebook ID or Gmail ID.

After selection, they will be given training for 3-5 days. These trainings will be organized at the nearest ITGKs (IT Gyan Kendras) of RKCL (Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Ltd.)
