Former Rajasthan BJP president Ashok Parnami slammed opposition for staging stone pelting on CM’s Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra in Pipar town of Jodhpur division. Parnami said that the Rajasthan Congress was intimidated by the popularity of chief minister Vasundhara Raje and was trying to disrupt the statewide Gaurav Yatra.  Parnami, who is also the co-convener of Gaurav Yatra, said, ‘Congress and Ashok Gehlot don’t want the Yatra to proceed and trying to disrupt it through various means, including by filing petitions in high court and then pelting stones on CM Raje’s Rath.’

Parnami showed videos in which a group of people was shouting slogans in support of Ashok Gehlot and inciting people to throw stones on Raje’s Rath when the yatra reached Pipar on August 25. ‘Congress has a stronghold in Pipar and they cannot shy away from responsibility by only condemning the incident.’ Parnami further added. On the other hand, 15 locals were arrested by the police after the incident and some of them have been found to be Congress loyalists.

Raje’s Gaurav Yatra is getting tremendous support from the public
