The government of Rajasthan has started ‘Bhamashah Wallet’ app as an extension to the ambitious Bhamashah Scheme of CM Vasundhara Raje. Raje Government’s Bhamashah Scheme is aimed to empowering women by providing the financial strength through Bhamashah accounts and Bhamashah cards. Each family under the program is issued a Bhamashah card which is linked to a resident bank account via family’s female head’s Aadhaar number. The scheme is planned to manage everything from ration distribution to direct benefit transfer payments from the various government schemes. The app was launched by CM Vasundhara Raje on August 23 at Bhamashah Techno Hub.

Bhamashah Wallet offers following features:

1. Bhamashah Wallet is a fully secure wallet app which allows users to transfer money between bank accounts and their wallets.
2. Bhamashah app can be used for any kind of purchase and payments like other commercially popular wallet apps.
3. The App supports QR payment, only to the recipients that have the Bhamashah Wallet installed.
4. Users will be able to check and maintain their account just through their phone.

The app is available only to Rajasthan residents, as it asks for Aadhaar number.

How to use Bhamashah Wallet app?

Go to nearby e-Mitra centre> e-Mitra kiosk manager will log in to the e-Mitra portal and then will click on ‘avail Bhamashah editing service’ to change the service mode> e-Mitra will further check the bio-metric identification of the Beneficiary> Click on select beneficiary mobile wallet payment mode> Beneficiary will receive OTP on the registered mobile number for Bhamashah account> As the final step, update your Bhamashah Profile from payment mode to mobile wallet.
