Government’s effective work on the grass-root level

In January this year, a parliamentary committee asked the Women and Child Development Ministry to plan the hike for the Anganwadi workers. The ministry immediately started working towards the review.

In addition to that, the WCD ministry did an annual review of the Anganwadi centers in May and June last year. The ministry found that over 10,000 posts in the Anganwadi services in the country are vacant. The WCD ministry also found that more than 34,000 Anganwadi centers are yet to be operational.

Women and Child Development Ministry worked vigorously to work towards planning for the welfare of Anganwadi workers. Henceforth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the increment on Tuesday.
