It is known that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has imposed ban on the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) for four years. An affidavit has been submitted in the High Court for removing the ban on RCA.  In fact, an affidavit has been submitted by RCA president CP Joshi and secretary Rajendra Singh Nandu in Rajasthan High Court on the behalf on RCA. It is great that the cricket lovers can now enjoy international as well as IPL matches in Jaipur stadium. This information is given by BCCI acting president C K Khanna.

    Why has affidavit been submitted?

There was a condition put by BCCI’s lawyer, Angad Mirdha in the High Court stating that RCA has to give in writing for accepting all the conditions of the BCCI. He further said that RCA will never violate these conditions hence the suspension will automatically get void.

    Why did BCCI ban RCA?

Board of Control for Cricket in India has banned RCA. With this ban, RCA lost its authority to hold international matches as well as IPL matches at Jaipur, Rajasthan. The banned was imposed due to dispute between former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi and BCCI in 2014. The ban was imposed for four years. In fact, the BCCI put a condition not to remove ban from RCA till the time Lalit Modi is chairman. Well.. this suspension has been revoked when Lalit Modi lost the election. The last International match in Rajasthan was held in year 2013.

The MOU between the RCA and the state government will be ending in the next few days. Therefore, RCA will have to make a new MoU from the state government for which consent of the BCCI will be the basis.
