Akshay Kumar recently posted a quirky video in which he talked on “Toilets”. The word has become more than common after PM Modi’s “Swachch Bharat Abhiyan”. In fact, Akshay’s upcoming movie is named as, “Toilet – Ek Prem Katha”.
Yes, this is a publicity video and he admits it. From the very start of the video, he warned the haters to stay away if they find it disgusting. Yes, he talked disgusting things but ironically, that’s the truth of more than 60% “Bhartiya”. He reveals that, during the research of this movie, they found some shocking facts about sanitation arrangements in today’s “Bharat”.
Many houses in village areas do not have in built toilets, because of which they have to move out in open places to defecate and urinate. The major problem is faced by women of these areas, who have to rise early in the dark hours to defecate in the open grasslands. If, by any chance, they miss these “precious” hours of excretion, they have to wait for whole long day, until the sunset. The point for them is, women can’t get out during the daylights to defect to urinate in the open.
In the video, Akshay seemed quite bothered by the conditions and even challenged the male chauvinists to hold their urine for one whole day if they consider themselves men.
The full of spunk video says a lot about Bharat’s current conditions which is running on the hopes of “Swachch Bharat Abhiyan”.
The Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Padnekar starring movie, Toilet: Ek Prem katha will release on June 2nd, 2017. Making aware the public about the need of healthy sanitation, the movie makes a sharp comment on the hollow rituals followed in the Bhartiya culture.
Out of total population of “Bharat”, 54% people still do not own toilets in their homes.
