Better Flight Connectivity in Rajasthan

Easy access to quick transportation is important for Indian states. This statement is doubly true for a bustling business, trade and tourism centre such as Rajasthan. The Government seems to be cognisant of this fact and has made ensuring the infrastructure and conditions necessary for connectivity as one of its foremost priorities. Recent events prove that this government is indeed making good on the promises it made to the citizens of Rajasthan.

The government has been establishing quicker links between the major cities of Rajasthan by promoting air connectivity services. Flight facilities between Jaipur and Bikaner, Udaipur and Jodhpur have commenced over the previous 12 months.

Additionally, using these flight services is proving to be quicker and more economical in traversing vast distances than using road transportation. Efforts to renovate airstrips in the state are also underway.
A sum of 16.54 crore rupees has been sanctioned to finance the renovation and maintenance of various airstrips in the state. The Rajasthan government intends to sustain its efforts to strengthen the air connectivity services in the state. A project to link Bikaner and New Delhi is in progress.
