Vasundhara Raje led Rajasthan government issued a notification to implement the new 7th pay commission recommendations on Monday.
The new notification regarding the 7th pay commission recommendations revolves around revising payment of nearly 12 lakh employees including that for pensioners. Also, ahead of Diwali, CM Vasundhara Raje had given the state employees a big treat by announcing that the revised pay benefits will be passed onto them.
Effective from October 1, this notification was issued after the Sawant committee was constituted to spot the weak points of the existing salary, allowances, and other arrears.
New Metric System to usher transparency
The metric system has been installed by the Rajasthan government has ushered in transparency and honest mechanism for payment. However, this initiative was criticised by employees as it led to slashed pay scales.
The new metric system is however expected to keep over one lakh employees aloof from the extra benefits of commission.
Transparency & Authenticity : Prime Concern
The employees also informed that larger fraction of employees was happy with the new notification, given that the system has become more transparent and clear.

Employees expect more benefits
According to sources, the employees were waiting for the 7th pay commission and after it was issued, employees were relieved and satisfied as they knew that benefits shall come to them soon. They were also looking forward to a 14% hike.
More clarity by 2018
Some employees said that we are still figuring out the changes. “We are currently examining the notification in its entirety to check the pros and cons. After a complete examination, we will be able to understand the new pay revision,” he said.
Experts also say that the real benefit of the 7th pay commission will be showered onto the employees and pensioners in 2018. Hence, the new pay commission is a benison for the employees.
It is also known that the government is yet to provide more clarity on the future prospects of salary, bonus, arrears and pension-related matters.
