Once again, ‘young engineers’ from Rajasthan have set a landmark in field of education. Following the announcement of JEE advanced results this Sunday, it was reported that the number of students who made it to the IITs from Jaipur were more than the total number of students coming from 5 union territories and 12 states together—a fact retrieved from the data supplied by IIT Chennai—the organizers of JEE exam this year.

Back in 2014, Jaipur contributed the maximum number of candidates in Top 100 JEE list. Nevertheless, the city slipped to the second position in 2016. Nevertheless, the hardworking students of the pink city put forth a commendable performance in JEE examinations.

  • Aman Kansal (AIR 15) from Cambridge Court High School
  • Yash Khemchandani (AIR 16) from BVB Vidhyashram
  • Devansh Garg (AIR 19), Arpit Agarwal (AIR 21), Chitrank Gupta (AIR 52) from Jayshree Periwal High School
  • Kirtin Garg (AIR 56) from St. Joseph Convent School
  • Prateek Garg (AIR 96) from Rukhmani Birla High School

Based on this data, it’s safe to say that Jaipur leads the competition among tier II cities in the country. But this doesn’t end here!

For those who don’t know, out of all the IITs in India, IIT Bombay, Delhi and Kanpur have always been the most sought engineering colleges for students in India. The present scenario marks the growth of information technology among all other branches of engineering and IIT Bombay is the hottest destination for computer science students.

The pleasant surprise is that 45 students from various coaching centers in Kota made it to the elite engineering colleges, 40 of which were admitted into computer engineering course at IIT Bombay.

IIT Bombay holds 110 seats in computer science, out of which 50 are meant for general students.  Fortunately, 25 students from Kota ranked bagged the top 50 positions in IIT Bombay, thus securing their seats in the esteemed organization.

It’s not the first time when Rajasthan students have made it to premier engineering organizations across the country. Education experts give the credit of this success to the whole educational ecosystem, including schools, coaching, tuition teachers, counselors and faculty members. Motivation by teachers, quality assistance from coaching institutes and motivation by elders help students script a new success story every year.

Having said this, we look forward to the AIEE, JEE and IIT admissions this year. Hopefully, Rajasthan will send maximum number of students to top education institutes yet again.
