Traffic Cops Gripping “Bal Vahini” Rule Violators – 500 Penalised

    Jaipur Traffic Police is following the most alerted regime these days. Recently, they grabbed the drivers of the ferrying vehicles of school children for violating various traffic rules. A campaign run by the Jaipur Traffic Police, is keeping a check on many ferry vehicles running around. This has brought in the practice after a 4 year old school girl from Malviya Nagar succumbed to death. After that, the police authorities have specifically asked the school administration and vehicle owners to follow the norms.

    Since the morning hours, the senior police officers are checking the vehicles under the surveillance of Haider Ali Jaidi. Even if the drivers asked during the regime that the school children are getting late for the school, the checkers did not leave even a single law offender. Jaidi promptly said, “Many a times it is seen that Baal Vahini(vehicles used to ferry school children) indulge in various traffic violations which prove fatal to the school children boarding the vehicle. Thus, it was decided that we should continuously check them to find discrepancies”.

    During the day hours, several vehicles were put on interrogation after violating the rules. The traffic police shared all the figures and said, “Various teams deployed in the city booked 36 for not wearing seat belts, 42 for driving on the wrong side, 166 were found not wearing the prescribed uniform, 09 were found violating the registration of vehicle norms, 17 were caught without driving license, 22 were penalised for overloading, 2 for talking on phone while driving and 1 driver was found drunk while driving”.

    Apart from this, other 432 vehicles were grabbed for make other traffic violations.

    This campaign is likely to take an intense phase with preceding days. The chief said, “In some cases the Bal Vahini prescribed the school concern are also violating rules, thus putting the life of school children in danger. We are not going to tolerate it”.
