Kulbhushan Jadhav, an Indian, who is captivated by Pakistan from last 21 months. He recently met his mother and wife who had flown to Pakistan. In fact, Pakistan allowed Jadhav’s family to meet him after continuous insistence of India. Although Pakistan gave visa only to Kulbhushan Jadhav’s wife Chetankul, his mother Avanti allowed visiting him after efforts. It is smartness of this 70 year old lady who spoiled the plans of Pakistan.
What was the plan of Pakistan and how Avanti Jadhav spoiled it?
As per the reports, Jadhav strangely greeted his family and began to confess that he was an Indian spy. It is the charge imposed by Pakistan but refuted by India. He also told them that he had engineered various terror attacks. They were sitting across the glass wall in Pakistan. But, her mother could not believe the first words uttered by her son and she angrily interrupted him, “But why are you saying all this? You were doing business in Iran from where you were abducted. You must tell the truth.”

According to the sources, it was Pakistan’s plan to use the recording of Jadhav’s conversation with his family as a “confession” and use it against India. However, Avanti Jadhav’s presence of mind and courage of speaking out spoiled Pakistan’s plans.
It proved out a smart decision that Jadhav’s mother went to Pakistan. There was fear of their security and creating fake proofs by Pakistan but Avanti Jadhav smartly handled the situation.
Pakistan’s unfair behaviour with Jadhav’s family
Pakistan created intimidating atmosphere for the ladies. It retained the shoes of Jadhav’s wife, Chetankul and claimed that they contained something ‘metallic’. It also asked his mother and wife to take off their bindi, mangalsutra and bangles ahead of the meeting. They were not allowed to talk in their mother tongue. She was repeatedly interrupted during the meeting.
Who is Kulbhushan Jadhav?
Kulbhushan Jadhav is a 47-year-old retired Indian Navy officer. He was arrested by Pakistan in March 2016 on the suspicion of being involved in subversive activities in Balochistan and Karachi, he. He is now sentenced to death on account of espionage in April 2017.
