At Kalyanji Temple, situated at Sikar city, clashes between two different community members grew massive. Back on Thursday night, members of two different communities got into arguments over a small issue leading to fight.
This grew so big that section 144 has been imposed in some vulnerable areas. In these areas, there were incidents of intermittent stone pelting and growing clashes.
The special task force (STF) and the companies of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary conducted a flag march in the city area to bring the environment of peace.
In fact, special police troops were patrolling in the areas of Dausa and Jaipur to make sure that situation does not go out of control. A police official mentioned, “There was a call for bandh on Friday morning. Some organisations in areas such as Jatia tried to close shops which sparked tension”.
Many residents locked themselves in houses because of fear as police cops carrying the tear gas and anti-riot guns conducted the flag march in massive columns across the city areas. In fact, some culprits fired the tea shops and even pelted stones.
As after Friday, there has been no incident of fresh violence, the situation seems to be under control.
Te reasons behind Thursday quarrel was investigated and Kumar said, “There was some minor dispute in a locality near Kalyanji Temple, involving children. The situation flared up and people clashed with each other. However, we have taken control of the situation and additional police have been deployed in sensitive areas”.
Many areas like Kalyanji ka temple, Dujod Gate, Ramlila Ground Road, Ghantaghar and other localities near Karinagar have made it into a ‘police cantonments’. The anti-riot vehicles were on the move to block the roads and armed policemen guarded the each corner of the road.
With planned patrolling and surveillance, the situation was under control before any big incident could happen.
