Shahnaz Khan is in fourth year of MBBS. Shahnaz will start her internship at Gurugram Civil Hospital. She also wanted to study further. But, she has now become Sarpanch. Shahnaz also aspires to join politics in future.
How did her journey to become sarpanch begin?
Her grandfather was selected as sarpanch. In October 2017, the court void those sarpanch elections. Hence, a new face was required for this post. The candidate must be 10th pass. So, I fought the election and became sarpanch.
Well.. she is not the first one from her family to join politics. Politics is her legacy. Her grandfather was Sarpanch for 55 years while father is the head of the village. Shahnaz’s mother is also into politics. She is the fourth generation to politics.
