Moreover, Rajasthan’s ‘E-Mitra Project’ was felicitated with a medal for it’s notable contributions towards citizen-centric services.
A couple of districts and cities have also grabbed attention of many organizations. Hanumangarh district was awarded with the ‘Satyen Maitra Puruskar’, while Chittorgarh received notable laurels in the field of Education in 2007.
Police stations of Jaipur were granted ISO certification. 41 police stations of Jaipur were recognized by ISO and granted the benchmark certification. Not only this, the Rajasthan State Police E-model software, “Aarakshi” was recognized as the best model of E-Governance at the 9th National E-Governance Summit.
Rajasthan government has been adamant towards maintaining cleanliness in the state. A myriad of innovative methods have been deployed towards maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in state. Under the ‘Sampurna Swachhta Abhiyan’, as many as 9 districts and 23 Gram Panchayats of Rajasthan were selected for the “Nirmal Gram Puruskar” in 2006 for the first time ever.
Leading the state by exemplary governance, Chief minister Vasundhara Raje initiated an uber-innovative concept of water-conservation called ‘Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan’ and implemented it impeccably in the desert state. For Rajasthan government’s relentless efforts towards ‘watershed development’, the state was felicitated with the prestigious ‘India Tech Excellency Award’.

In 2007, Rajasthan’s Suratgarh Thermal Power station was felicitated with a beautiful shield for incredible production of energy resources.
For successful and exemplary implementation of ‘Rabi Abhiyan 2004-05’, the Central Government awarded Rajasthan with a prize money of an ornamental Rs 1 crore. The state invested this amount towards fostering agriculture and harvesting of Rabi crops in the state.
Rajasthan stood second in the Crisil JNNURM Award category of ‘Urban Development Initiative’. Preceded by Orissa, this feat is another feather in Rajasthan’s hat. The Ajmer municipality bagged the top position in the ‘Other cities’ category, while Raipur city of Chhattisgarh bagged the second position.
