We are just 3 days away from the Dholpur By-polls which have gripped the whole Rajasthan with it’s higher anticipation and unending frenzy. Whether these elections are too hyped or not, the watch dog of elections process, Election commission had to issue a notification banning broadcasting or publishing of any Dholpur election related information. The ban will be effective from April 9 to April 12.
“As per the directives of Election Commission, airing of exit poll will remain banned during the period,” Chief Electoral Officer Ashwini Bhagat said.
State party chiefs including Congress chief Sachin Pilot and BJP Rajasthan secretary Ashok Parnami have been running errands to the Dholpur district. As expected, Congress started to spell sugarcoated promises to fill their vote banks; the party is widely known for their knack of curating beguiling promises.
On the contrary, the Congress officials alleged that the BJP is deploying unfair means to earn votes, while BJP has proved time and again that it fulfils it’s promises and not make unmindful promises only in the name of earning votes.
First timer Shobharani has become a favourable face for the Dholpurites. The Dholpur district houses majorly 3 communities: the Kushwahas, the Brahmins and the Muslims. Shobharani being a Kushwaha’s wife, is the preferred candidate for the most popular caste in the district. The muslims are favouring BJP due to prudent and rational choices. The Triple Talaq ban induced Muslim community to vote for BJP in the State Assembly elections in UP. The UP victory is most likely to replicate in the Dholpur elections.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje is considered as another prime reason why BJP will enthrone the Dholpur seat on April 13. Vasundhara Raje has built a rapport with the Rajasthanis owing to her relentless and dedicated efforts to develop Rajasthan.
A slew of innovative schemes like Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Yojana (MJSA), Rajshree Yojana, Bhamashaha yojana has changed the landscape of Rajasthan in an unprecedented fashion. Many promises have been accomplished in only a span of 3 years, while congress could not achieve them in 5 years. This goes on to show that BJP is a competent party, as a visionary leader like Vasundhara Raje is helming it.
The Dholpur elections will portray the tune for Rajasthan assemble elections 2018. The Dholpur by polls are slated for April 9, while the counting of votes and the result announcement is on April 13.
