May 2018 comes with an unexpected blow for the state of Rajasthan. No one expected such a havoc created by strong winds and dust storms on May 1 especially in Alwar, Bharatpur and Dholpur districts. The strong winds left a trail of destruction, uprooting hundreds of trees and electric poles last evening. Storm in Rajasthan

Many of the trees fell on stationary vehicles, toll plaza collapses and snapped electricity cables. Many people lost their lives as well as their houses and shops damaged. A large no. of population have injured too. Storm left the state of Rajasthan to unrest but the political parties are still busy in strengthening the vote bank. Know about the matter in detail.

After the destruction of last evening, the political leaders are expressing their grief over damage and loss of lives. These politicians are also arranging to provide relief to the affected people. They have urged the officials to personally monitor the relief work. PM of India Narendra Modi and many other leaders expressed their concern over the situation in their tweets. Oppositions comment on Rajasthan BJP

But, opposition leaders have wonderfully utilized natural calamity as a tool for political benefits. The topmost Congress leaders in Rajasthan tweeted the reasons of natural calamities and the cancellation of their plans. Like, former CM of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot tweeted about his grief over the death of people due to storm. He also commented on present government of the state that it should provide relief to the victims and their families. Talking about the Congress President of Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot, he also expressed his pain over the deaths. Pilot also tweeted that he and his party would support the victims. In fact, the funniest thing that came out is Pilot’s remark over increasing pollution in Jaipur. He even called the storm occurred because of air pollution. Recently, a report is released by WHO over most polluted cities in the world. In this list 14 Indian made their space including Jaipur and Jodhpur. It is due to PM2.5. Hence, it is not man-made pollution but it is caused due to climatic changes like temperature, high surface wind, dry and powdery soil.

Know the efforts by Rajasthan CM to offer relief measures Storm in Rajasthan

Rajasthan’s CM Vasundhara Raje also instructed her ministers to offer relief measures.   State Disaster Relief Force also rushed to affected districts and issued an alert. To avoid further damage due to electricity, the power distribution company switched off electricity supply.

In her tweet, she mentioned that disaster and relief minister Gulab Chand Kataria will monitor relief work in Alwar, social justice and empowerment minister Arun Chaturvedi in Dholpur; health minister Kalicharan Saraf in Bharatpur and mines minister Surendrapal Singh in Jhunjhunu.

Storm in Uttar Pradesh

Along with Rajasthan, the storm also caused destruction in Uttar Pradesh also. The state has suffered serious damage after this high-intensity dust storm.  In fact, the UP government has reportedly sounded an alert for the next 48 hours
