The government has started credited farmer’s bank accounts with the Minimum Support Price (MSP) consideration. This consideration is in reference to the harvest purchased by the government from the farmer. More than 2500 accounts will be credited by the government starting today. Big Relief For Farmers

More than 56000 farmers will be reimbursed and paid consideration until the coming week. The amount will be transferred through the Rajfed mechanism directly into the bank accounts of farmers. Not only will the farmers who have sold their harvest earlier be paid consideration, those who will be selling their commodities now will also be paid expeditiously.

The government is purchasing commodities like Sarso, Chana, Wheat, Garlic and more from the tireless farmers. It is their hardwork which is being recognized by farmers and repaid back.

Also, it will be interesting to know that the state of Rajasthan is the most agricultural states across the country. Here is proof:

  • 40% of mustard (sarson) of the country is produced in Rajasthan
  • 40% of cumin (jeera) of the country is produced in Rajasthan Big Relief For Farmers
  • 60% of the coriander (dhania) of the country is produced in Rajasthan
  • Majority of isabgol (isabgol) of the country is produced in Rajasthan

Interest-free short-term crop loans

The farmer welfare activity doesn’t end here. The state government announced on April 2 that it will disburse interest-free short-term crop loans totalling Rs 16,000 crore to more than 25 lakh farmers in Rajasthan. Rajasthan Government Announces

An additional Rs 1,000 crore crop loans will be distributed to farmers. Rs 10,000 crore will be distributed in kharif season and Rs 6,000 crore in rabi season, Kilak informed. Rajasthan Government Announces

Raj Cooperative Personal Accident Insurance scheme

Recently, the Raj Cooperative Personal Accident Insurance scheme was launched in the state. As a part of this scheme, more than 25 lakh farmers were given accident insurance for Rs 10 lakh between April 1, 2018, and March 31, 2019. Big Relief For Farmers 

Cooperative minister Ajay Singh Kilak also said that the act of taking loans from cooperative banks will provide social security to farmers in 2018-19. More than 25 lakh farmers are being given interest-free crop loan of Rs 16,000 crore and they will be included in accident insurance scheme, Kilak said. Rajasthan Government Announces
