Many girls of our country have been isolated from the education system, owing to saddening poverty state and lack of sound education facilities. Due to these tragic conditions, children, especially girls have to bear the brunt of hardships and poverty.
We talk about the gender equality and gender rights in the nation, still there are a slew of rural villages and districts where the girl child education is a remote reality. In order to mitigate the menace, a plethora of schemes and plans have been initiated in many states of the country. These schemes have been implemented in a comprehensive manner, thereby bolstering the education system in the country. The state of Rajasthan is no exception.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje ushered in the ‘Mukhya Mantri Hamari Beti Yojana’ in nexus with this cause driven by education. Through this phenomenal scheme, the government of Rajasthan aims to touch and transform the lives of all meticulous girls, who have the potential of performing brilliantly at school and in all other spheres of life.
Mukhya Mantri Hamari Beti Yojana
Under this scheme, atleast two girls are selected from tenth standard in each district, with one girl ranking first in the district and the other ranking first among the BPL.
The scheme will encompass sound financial support for these girls. Under the scheme, these will be provided with a sum of Rupees two lakh. This scheme aims to benefit meritorious girl children from BPL by providing them quality education clubbed with training facilities including professional training, sports and private coaching.
Girls who obtain top three ranks in their studies will be adopted by the state government. Further education of these girls will be funded by the state government, irrespective of their career field choices.
By doing so, the state government strongly believes that it will motivate the girl’s education among the parents. It is a long-lasting motivation for the girl students to perform better on all front, more specifically targeting the education front.
Gargi Awards – harbinger of optimism in life of brilliant girls
Under Mukhya Mantri Hamari Beti Yojana more than 92 thousand girl students received Gargi award in Rajasthan this year. This was an uber incredible scheme launched by Smt. Vasundhara Raje.
Vasundhara Raje adopted three topper girls from every district of Rajasthan under Mukhya Mantri Hamari Beti Yojana. Not only this, the state government of Rajasthan also laid out many empowering schemes for the girls students.
Embarking new beginnings towards better future
Chief Minister of Rajasthan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday with the GEMS Education to provide sound and standard quality education to the youth of the state.
Under Mukhya Mantri Hamari Beti Yojana, the state government of Rajasthan also distributes cycles and laptops to the girls of the state. A number of girls have become beneficiaries of this scheme.
Under the Mukhya Mantri Hamari Beti Yoajna (MHBY), Vasundhara Raje government provides financial assistance, which equips them with adequate study material.
