Amidst heightened speculations and gossips, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje silently welcomes new faces to Team Rajasthan today. Rajasthan Cabinet Reshuffle, which was a trending topic in last few days was successfully accomplished by government in a meeting chaired by the CM herself. The event brought happiness in the form of promotions for some and disappointments for others who didn’t perform well. The CM sends a clear message across that only real performers will be given a chance to represent government.

8 New Ministers Appointed following Rajasthan Cabinet Reshuffle

Albeit a bit delayed, the ceremony kicked with great energy and enthusiasm at Raj Bhawan 3 pm in the afternoon. Prior to the oath taking ceremony, Rajasthan governor Kalyan Singh demanded the new list of members from the authorities. Both the CM and the governor were present on the occasion to inspire newly appointed members.

In a hurriedly called meeting, Rajasthan CM appointed total 8 ministers– 4 ministers of state rank and 4 ministers in cabinet. The new list contains popular names like:

Cabinet Ministers:

  • Ajay Singh
  • Babulal Verma,
  • Srichand Kriplani,
  • Jaswant Yadav.

Ministers of State:

  • Banshidhar Bajwa,
  • Kamsa Meghwal,
  • Sushil Katara,
  • Dhan Singh Rawat.

5 new parliamentary secretaries were also appointed to manage state affairs. They are:

  • Shatrughan Gautam (Kekadi, Ajmer),
  • Omprakash Hudla (Mahwa, Dausa),
  • Narendra Naagar (Khanpur, Jhalawar),
  • Bheema Bhai (Kushalgarh, Baanswara),
  • Kailash Verma (Bagru, Jaipur).

Earlier this month, the CM had appointed new members in various state boards and commissions. Last week, she had conducted Collector-SP conference to gauge individual performances. She had also revamped old laws to fit with changing scenarios. It all suggests that Rajasthan government is bracing up for last two years of its rule.

All in all, the basic reason behind Rajasthan Cabinet Reshuffle was to reward diligent officers by promoting them to higher ranks. It’s a lesson hard learnt for those who missed a spot in the cabinet this time.
