
Highlights of Rajasthan Budget 2017: The budget presentation never had this much long session but it was worthwhile as it touched all sectors for the development of the state. CM Raje herself said that, they put the hints of progress in every possible sector. The budget was wise enough to make everyone feel part of the development procedure.
While making the media persons aware about the budget, “The budget emphasises on infrastructure development – the budget for public works department (PWD) at Rs 6657.32 crore has been raised by 58.47 per cent as compared to last year. Similarly, the budget for the water resources has been raised by 15.68 per cent as compared to last year”.

The budget not only benefitted the most substantial areas of the state but also counted the weak and underprivileged. Their needs and requirements have been taken into consideration. CM raje said that, ” Pension under the Mukhyamantri Ekal Nari Samman Pension Yojna for Widows over 60 years would be Rs 1000 while for those above 75 would be Rs 1500 per month”
The first woman chief minister of Rajasthan said, “We have also decided to provide a subsidy of Rs 35,000 to investors who employ locals and 40,000 if they employ SC/ST, women or specially abled”.
According to CM Raje, the budget has a huge possibilities of work on the groundwork. She mentioned that, they have tried the best to serve to all 36 communities of the state. Also, it didn’t leave any religion behind in the consideration. There is no such thing as minorities in the state. The state govt. had handful of finances when they came into power and took care of the requirements of people.
To foster the employment in Rajasthan, the state govt. has decided to provide the subsidy of Rs. 35,000 to people who give chance of employment to local dwellers. For making it a win for SC/ST women, the amount is Rs. 40,000.
