Private Nursing College Students Will Be Trained By The Railway Hospital In Ajmer

    At Divisional Railway Hospital in Ajmer, the students of private nursing college will soon get one year free clinical training. For this, an MOU was signed among the principal of the college and railway hospital’s chief medical superintendent. Puneet Chawla, the divisional railway manager was available at the spot.

    In the year 1890, the railway hospital was initiated which became the first nursing home of the North Western Railway.

    This agreement will come as a boon for 50 students from medical background. Through this, they will learn about all the practical things like dress changing, bed making, assisting the patients day to day, mopping patients, Ryle’s tube feeding, sick patients counseling, BP temperature check and taking pulse. The training will also have the contribution of railway medical officers and matrons.

    This will give boost to the academic activities in the railway hospital which is a crucial factor. Also, the nursing students will also learn about the patient care regime. This have a broad infrastructure of surgeries, indoor, radiology, pathology, family welfare, OPD and immunization.

    The railway hospital is doing great to make contribution to the learning of students. This will make them capable enough to serve the purpose of the society.

    DRM Chawla initiated the training regime and said that endless efforts have been introduced in this regard to bring up gradation in the hospital levels. Facilities like laparoscopy and knee replacement surgery are also available at the hospital.

    In addition to this, Chawla also fostered encouragement in the students to bring out the best in the clinical services.

    P K Mishra, who is chief medical superintendent doctor, mentioned about the available medical facilities which are available at the hospital. He also assured that the agreement to give the training to nursing students will foster great benefits to the hospital.
