    Udaipur Mandi

A state prospers when its people have employment and they are economically growing. To support its people, the state of Rajasthan has organized open auction of produces.  This special Mandi for ‘Vanopaj Laghu mandi’ (special mandi for forest produce) held at Udaipur. This special Mandi began in the presence of MP Arjunlal Meena.

How can Open Mandi Auction be a help?

When the middlemen are involved in selling of forest produce, cultivators earn a meagre amount. In this system, only buyers can earn good profits by selling the goods at bigger mandis. Hence, this open auction Mandi offers a great opportunity to the buyers and cultivators of Rajasthan to deal directly without middleman. Hence, both cultivators and traders can deal for the produce at the reasonable price. In fact, both the parties get more profits by this.

Similarly, mahua which is used to be sold at ₹ 1500/quintal is now sold at 4,000 per quintal. The major profit has been earned in honey. The honey sellers used to earn only Rs 6,000-7,000 per quintal. But, here they make huge profits of Rs 35,000.
