
A minority boy from small village of Hanumangarh is facing a boycott because the he eloped with a Hindu community girl. Mahapanchayat called this boycott, which is directed by Hindu right wing supporters. The incident was called as “love jihad”. On March 13th, the couple had, but was found later. After this, the police arrested the boy.
Om March 20th, the people who support VHP and RSS from around the villages got collected for mahapanchayat. During this, they decided to ban the Muslim village called, “Gudia” from social circle. The Tibbi police has made the confirmation that the dwellers and local leaders from Hindu right-wing groups partook in the mahasabha. The end decision was to cut off the Muslims from day-to-day life matters and business.
Ishwar Anand, who is station hosue officer of Tibbi said, “The couple eloped On March 13. A compliant in the matter was filed on March 17. Within two days, them back from Delhi and arrested the youth on March 19”.
The boy who ran with the other community girl was a dweller of Gudia village , which is protected by Tibbi police station area. The girl was from Khara Khera village which is near to Tibbi. The incident of boycott happened as the girl’ wedding was to be fixed on March 14. The police officer informed that, “Though, the girl was brought back, they held a mahapanchayat”.
During the mahapanchayat, the stereotype Hindu leaders made many speeches to make sure that such incidents do not happen in the future. In this, the police is trying to talk the matters and make sure that two rival groups calm down.
Tibbi grampanchayat sarpanch Vishal Singh says, “Hindus and Muslims in the area live peacefully. No such incidents happens here. The Gudia village is some 30 kms from here. We have taken steps to ensure situation would not deteriorate. Now, as the girl back to her home, the situation is slowly turning normal”.
