    This Saturday, a loud and loquacious Arnab Goswami took the Indian media by storm with his brand new channel Republic TV going on air today morning. Former Times News anchor Arnab Goswami inaugurated his new venture by thanking the audience for showing immense patience, belief and unwavering affection in his efforts. Having said this, Goswami aired an old audio clip showing former Bihar chief minister and RJD convener Lalu Prasad Yadav in conversation with mafia-turned-politician Shahabuddin.

    The broadcast featured Rashtriya Janta Dal leader taking instructions from Mohammad Shahabuddin regarding police action taken during Siwan violence. The episode exposes the true nature of ‘Gundaraj’ prevailing in Bihar, as claimed by the NDA government. It also raises questions on alleged ‘Sushaasan’ (good governance) of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, who’s in alliance with Lalu Yadav. We saw Lalu interacting with Shahabuddin while he was in jail. This highlights loopholes in jail administration and depicts the poor nature of law and order in Bihar.

    The clip drew political reactions from all over the world with the NDA demanding CM Nitish Kumar to take quick action in this regard. Contrary to this the UPA government representatives went on to defend Lalu Yadav for obvious political reasons.
