The recent book launch event in Bollywood caught all the eyeballs. This time it wasn’t Twinkle Khanna but Soha Ali Khan. She launched her book: ‘The perils of being moderately famous’ on December 12 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. Although Soha took the centerstage, the entire Pataudi family was present on the stage. It was a highly interactive and engaging event which also made way for a hilarious secret revelation.
Soha Ali Khan was accompanied by husband Kunal Khemu, sister in law Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali, mother Sharmila among others. The family alternated between speaking about Soha and what she does. Everybody was sharing their stories until Saif decided to make a big revelation on Soha’s big day.
“Soha had gone for a dinner date. She had gone with this wealthy, industrialist man”. Saif continued to reveal the entire story. “While she was there, a friend texted her asking her about the date. Soha sent a message saying ‘He is boring’ to the man on the date. She immediately asked the man for his phone, deleted the message and got saved from trouble,” Saif said while laughing.
Although the event was held to launch Soha’s book, it was Kareena who stole all the attention. Her couture choice made her stand tall and different. She took the audience by storm as she decided to take the bold step. Kareena wore a red bodycon dress with an exposing neckline that was out of order for a formal event like that of a book launch. However, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actress managed to carry off the look with full poise.
After the event, Kareena and Saif were also seen hand in hand. The event was a huge success as it created big news. Hopefully, Soha will leverage the eyeballs and make this book a milestone success.
