Helipad

After all major hospitals have been equipped with helipads, it’s time for government hospitals to get a helipad. Rajasthan’s Heera Kanwar Baa Janana Hospital in Jhalawar will be the first government hospital in the state to get a helipad.

The hospital will now be able to expedite the process of transporting severely critical patients to Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, etc for urgent treatment.

This facility is only an addition to the treatment services we provide. This facility will enable quick treatment and play a major role in saving lives.

Criticial patients are usually directed to commute to Kota or Jaipur for quick medication or treatment. Kota and Jaipur are three and five hours away from Jhalawar respectively. The journey time puts the patient and his family in complete disarray.

Dr R K Asari, dean of the government medical college, jhalawar said, “The delay proves fatal for many patients who require medical attention by experts which may not be possible here in Jhalawar. This is the sole reason behind constructing the helipad.”

“Already we are constructing third floor of the hospital. The helipad will come up at the third floor. It will be constructed in accordance with the standard operating procedures so that most of the air ambulances in the country can land and take off from here with ease,” Dr Asari said.

Impressively, this facility will not only be tasted by government hospitals, but even private hospitals may use this service. Dr. Asari informed that as many as 9000 deliveries are witnessed yearly at the Janana hospital. He also claims that staff falls short. The problem will be solved by the helipad.

While Jhalawar is coming up with a helipad, the purpose of transporting patient will be fulfilled. However, cities like Kota and Jaipur must have a government hospital with a helipad for effective results. This is not a far cry for Rajasthan which is now working towards bettering health facilities in the state.
